I always knew that I wanted to work with children and their families.
I became a teacher because it was the natural choice since my mother, grandmother, two aunts, and uncle were all teachers. My grandfather was a high school trainer. It was in my genes. BUT, when I began to teach, I found myself wanting to help students in a different way. I watched learners struggle behaviorally, academically, and socially and wanted to make a difference in their lives. Working in a public school, I saw students who needed extra support to reach their goals. I wanted to ensure that learners of all abilities were able to reach their full potential
In my heart, I knew that I needed to help those students and their families.
I talked with the family members, asked what practices they had in place at home, and developed comprehensive plans for both in school and at home. I wanted parents to know that they weren’t in this alone and that I could help.

That is exactly how I work with my clients today.
Our goal-oriented team will make sure that services are tailored to meet each family’s needs. Every interaction has purpose and meaning to your child and family.
I wholeheartedly believe that each person is a valued member of a team and should be treated with dignity, respect, empathy, and compassion. Supports and techniques must be individualized and designed specifically for each learner. Behaviors can change, families can thrive, and learning can happen in a fun, positive, and enjoyable way!
